How Do I Identify A Rock?
There are three kinds of rocks!
- Metamorphic
- Igneous
- Sedimentary
Igneous rocks form from the magma and create bubbles, so when they've hardened, they're light. An example is pumice.
Sedimentary rocks are layers of eroded earth pressed together so hard that they form a kind of rock! An example is sandstone.
Metamorphic rocks are compressed with a high temperature with such intensity that they are actually changed into a new stone! An example is Quartzite.
