For all for you science lovers, here is the advanced science that I'm learning right now. This is 7th-8th grade stuff, so this can be difficult when memorizing
Cells Project
We'll first be learning about cells and their functions. The first thing you must know is the cell theory:
- All cells are composed of cells
- Cells are the basic unit of structure and function
- Cells are produced from existing cells
A fun way to memorize the cell theory is a cell theory song on YouTube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgHN145_dj0
Catchy, right?
When you've got that memorized, why not make a smoothie :P because smoothies are delicious and notorious!
The organs that function together in a cell are called the Organ System. In cells, instead of calling them organs they're called organelles.
The "brain" of the cell is the Nucleus. The core of the nucleus is the Nucleolus.
The Mitochondrea makes ATP, which is Cellular Respiration. Cellular Respiration takes place in your muscles when you're running or working hard. CR is the process of making energy for your muscles when oxygen is present. The green stuff in plants are called Chlorophyll, which acts like solar panels for the cell. Chlorophyll are the green pigments in bags called Chloroplasts, which collect the sun's energy.

Where was YouTube.com when I was a kid...?
